Schmitt Hosting Ceremony to Dedicate Bridge for Former State Rep. Rick Geist

WHAT: Rep. Lou Schmitt (R-Altoona) will hold a bridge renaming ceremony in honor of former state Rep. Rick Geist. Schmitt led the initiative to dedicate the 17th Street bridge over Interstate 99 in Logan Township as the Honorable Richard A. Geist Memorial Bridge.

WHO: Schmitt will be joined by the Geist family, local dignitaries and current and former elected officials.

WHEN: Friday, May 27, at 11 a.m.

WHERE: Railroaders Memorial Museum, 1200 9th Ave., Altoona.
